Gothic fonts

Gothic typeface is a typeface that appeared in the 11th century. Since the XVI century the use of Gothic scripts in writing and printing gradually ceased, the Gothic style was superseded by antique.
Characters of the Gothic alphabet look like this because in the XI century goose pens were used as writing tools, they were cut diagonally and the writing edge was inclined at an angle to the line. This resulted in closely spaced letters, which also saved paper.
