Sans serif fonts

The sans serif fonts are also called grotesque or sans serif (from French sans "without" and English serif "sans serif"). As the name implies these fonts do not have serifs, that is why the letters of these fonts are often regular geometric shapes with straight lines and right angles. Because of their appearance, sans serif fonts are mainly used in headlines. Grotesques have been used since 1816 in advertisements and various headlines, wherever it is necessary to attract attention.
