Why is it needed?
When I started working on carved icons and crosses in the Pomor tradition, I encountered a problem: the texts on them (prayers, decoding of "cross words") are often long, and they need to be carefully inscribed into complex contours. Manual marking took a lot of time and led to errors.

"Pomorsky Urez" solves this problem: The geometry of the letters is simplified for wood carving, but retains the style of the letters of the Pomor Calvaries. Allows you to quickly create sketches, minimizing errors.

How to use?
The font was created specifically for carvers of Pomor icons and crosses - for Christ's sake.

Зачем он нужен?
Когда я начал работать над резными иконами и крестами в поморской традиции, столкнулся с проблемой: тексты на них (молитвы, расшифровка «крестных слов») часто длинные, и их нужно аккуратно вписать в сложные контуры. Ручная разметка отнимала много времени и вела к ошибкам.

«Поморский Урез» решает эту задачу: Геометрия букв упрощена под резьбу по дереву, но сохраняет стилистику букв поморских голгоф. Позволяет быстро создавать эскизы, минимизируя погрешности.

Как использовать?
Шрифт создан специально для резчиков поморских икон и крестов — Христа ради.
